Projects
Education
Soaring has conducted educational services since the inception of the agency 28 years ago, serving some 100 students annually with sponsorship of their school tuition, books, supplies, and uniforms.
Health Care and MSU Doctor Program
Soaring first built a rural medical clinic in 2009 and has served the outskirts of the city of Cap Haitien for 13 years with daily primary care health services that the community would not have access to otherwise. We employ two physicians, as well as nurses, lab technicians, and pharmacy personnel.
Nutrition
Soaring’s Nutrition programming began at the Clinic as food provisions for families that had a child who was diagnosed with malnutrition. The program was expanded extensively beginning in 2020 as a result of the Covid Pandemic and Severe Civil Unrest, both of which created higher food costs and less access to food for Haitians.
Sanitation & Clean Water
Another major collaborative partnership SUH has entered into within the past two years is with Pure Water for the World, which is primarily sponsored and funded by Rotary International.
Women's Health & Birthing Center
As of Spring 2022, SUH has expanded our medical campus by completing construction of a midwifery facility where women in Haiti can come to give birth—attended by both highly trained professional Haitian Midwives and their traditional birth attendants (“matwons”) from the community.
